​Jean-Paul Bonneau is a Los Angeles based cinematographer who has worked across the United States as well as internationally. He has lensed the feature film WIGGER, a story of racial identity in the American heartland; as well as, the avant-garde feature CITY OF DOGS. His short film EMERGENCE was chosen to screen at the American Cinematheque’s Egyptian Theater. Commercial clients have included Gatorade, Nike SB, Evian, Google Chromebook, Tutima and John Varvatos.

Jean-Paul holds a MFA in Cinematography from the American Film Institute and a BA in Political Science from the College of the Holy Cross. ​He has been a camera operator on the television shows YO GABBA GABBA, ROBOT CHICKEN, and SUPERMANSION. He has also served as a camera intern for Academy Award winner Robert Richardson A.S.C..

In addition to his camera work, Jean-Paul has been a set lighting technician for 10+ years. He has worked on shows for Fox, Showtime, Nickelodeon, TruTV and Lifetime. He has extensive experience on music videos, commercials and indie features.  Also, he works in stop motion, including Charlie Kaufman's Academy Award nominated film: ANOMALISA.
